Anchorage Asphalt Paving is an independent, educational website about asphalt paving and pavement maintenance in Anchorage and Southcentral Alaska.

What we do

We publish practical guides for homeowners and small property owners: how driveways should be built for frost conditions, when sealcoating helps, how to deal with cracks and heaves, how to plan around the short paving season, and how to compare contractor bids.

What we don't do

• We are not a paving contractor and don't perform or broker paving work.
• We don't publish price quotes, because real prices depend on your site and current material costs.
• We don't accept payment to recommend specific contractors.

Our content draws on widely accepted pavement construction practice, cold-regions engineering principles and public guidance from agencies. Every property is different, so treat our guides as background for conversations with qualified, registered local contractors and, for larger or unusual projects, a civil or geotechnical engineer.
